One day, after School, Alyssa received a letter from her mother, telling her not to go home that day. Her mother then phones the boarding school, and Alyssa rushes to the phone. She answers, but the mother is not on the other side, no one is. Being a curious and irritating teenager, she travels back home, only to a mysterious old man, who claims to have known Alyssa since her very existence. Alyssa, watches as the Dark Man seemingly disappears. What has she done?

A joint porject between Sunsoft and Capcom, Clock Tower 3 contains some of the most disturbing visuals since Silent Hill, and boy does it show. Alyssa has a Panic Meter, which is similiar to a Sanity Meter and whenever Alyssa is in times of stress/fear the meter will increase, which will loosen control on Alyssa and have various other effects.
