Assignment Ada is a minigame unlocked by completing the game once, on any difficulty. In it, players assume the role of sexy Ada Wong, the rogue agent whom featured in Resident Evil 2 and now, Resident Evil 4. You'll be playing in her black cover-ops suit, and she comes equipped with a Punisher, Semi-Auto Rifle and TMP. The objective of Assignment Ada is simple, retrieve 5 Los Plagas samples to take back to your superiors.
Sounds easy, doesn't it? Well, it isn't. For one thing, Ada takes almost double damage whenever hit. This can easily cause death to Ada without you expecting it. Assignment Ada takes place in the area surrounding the research facility, the research facility itself, and also, the Comms Area, which is where Assignment Ada ends.
Trekking through the different areas collecting all the samples of the Plagas is not an easy task, as you will encounter many strong Ganado along the way.
Also, Ada has two melee attacks, as opposed to Leon's one. The first, pulled off by pressing A near a Ganado whom has been stunned through a shot to the head, is called Fan Kick, and is just two kicks. The second, which can be performed on a Ganado whom has been stunned by a shot to the knee, and is called "Back Kick" and is similiar to Leon's kick, but lower.
Although Ada does take double damage, she is nearly 2x faster in running than Leon, and this CAN take some getting used to, but it can be used heavily to your advantage to outrun any Ganado.
The end boss of Assignment Ada, and the bearer of the final sample, is noneother than Jack Krauser. Although Krauser has already mutated, he bears no threat, as long as you have mastered the way of L + R dodging and B + A dodging.
The ending of Assignment Ada is by far the best part. I won't spoil it for you, but you CAN download it from the media section. |
