KEIJI INAFUNE
R&D PRODUCTION STUDIO 2

Mr. Inafune is the officer, general manager and head of Production Studio 2. He joined Capcom in 1987 and immediately participated in the character design for Megaman. Since then he has lead the design or had a part in nearly every Megaman title Capcom has published. The strength of the Megaman franchise, now more than 15 years old, continues to delight kids of all ages as witnessed by volumes of fan art, licensed toys and merchandise as well as being the longest running animated television series based on a video game character. He serves as creative director for the Megaman NT Warrior, the hit animated high-tech cyber-adventure television series.

Inafune san is the creator and producer for the entire award-winning Onimusha series of products – Onimusha: Warlords, Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny, Genma Onimusha and Onimusha 3 as well as Onimusha Blade Warriors, a fighting game featuring characters from the series. Onimusha: Warlords was named “Best of Show” by SIGGRAPH 2000 Computer Animation Festival from more than 650 entries for its extraordinary achievements in computer animation.

Inafune san has worked on other titles during his career at Capcom including assisting as character designer for Disney’s Duck Tales, Chip and Dale’s Rescue Rangers and the original Breath of Fire.

His current projects are Shadow of Rome, Megaman Zero 3 and Megaman Battle Network 4.

SHINJI MIKAMI
CLOVER STUDIO

Mr. Mikami joined Capcom in 1990 as planner. He has served as officer, general manager and head of Production Studio 4 and is now director for Resident Evil 4 and producer for Killer 7.

Mikami san’s breakthrough masterpiece, Resident Evil, literally took the industry by storm when it released in 1996. Since its introduction Resident Evil has sold more than 22 million copies worldwide and stands among the elite as one of the most powerful franchises in video game history. Resident Evil instantly established a whole new category of gaming, survival horror, which also became an entry in the dictionary, and inspired a new wave of Resident Evil-like titles.

The Resident Evil franchise has spawned numerous titles for a variety of gaming systems and developed into two feature films, Resident Evil and Resident Evil Apocalypse due to release in the autumn of 2004. A variety of licensed merchandise has been created from the franchise including action figures, strategy guides, a variety of clothing, an original game soundtrack, comic books and a series of novels.

Mikami san’s other award-winning products include serving as producer of Devil May Cry and Dino Crisis. Resident Evil 4 was his last project with Capcom, since he moved to Clover in 2004.

HIROYUKI KOBAYASHI
R&D PRODUCTION STUDIO 4

Mr. Kobayashi is the producer for Production Studio 4. He joined Capcom in 1995 as a programmer on the original Resident Evil. He became a producer in 1998 and promoted to division head in 2003.

Since his original involvement in Resident Evil, he has served as producer for the blockbuster titles Devil May Cry and the GameCube version of the original Resident Evil. He has also produced the hit games, Dino Crisis 2, Dino Crisis 3 and P.N.03.

He is currently working on Killer 7, the stylized hard-boiled action adventure, featuring striking art-shaded visuals and an intriguing storyline between two men with altering personas. Kobayashi san is also working on the long awaited sequel, Resident Evil 4. Both Killer 7 and Resident Evil 4 are scheduled to release in 2004.

Kobayashi san wanted to get into the video game industry because he liked games since he was a little boy and wanted to someday make 3-D CG movies.

TATSUYA MINAMI
R&D PRODUCTION STUDIO 3

Mr. Minami is the operating officer and general manager for Production Studio 3 and has been with Capcom since 1987. His experience includes character design, project management and much more.

In 1999, he became operating officer and development director for Production Studio 3. In this role, he worked on the Megaman series, arcade games and coordinating outsourced titles. Minami san has also worked on recent titles including Megaman X7, Resident Evil Zero, Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter, and Clock Tower 3.

His upcoming projects are Glass Rose, Pride of GP 2003, Crimson Tears, and
Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas all for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system.

KOJI NAKAJIMA
R&D PRODUCTION STUDIO 3

Mr. Nakajima joined Capcom in 1990 as a planner for Rival Schools. He was named a producer for Production Studio 3 in 1996.

Nakajima san is credited for producing a large number of products including Marvel vs. Capcom, Dino Stalker, Clock Tower 3, Group S Challenge, Resident Evil: Dead Aim, Pro Cast Fishing, Gregory Horror Show and Super Ghouls & Ghosts (GBA).

His current projects are Megaman Command Mission for the PlayStation 2 and GameCube plus other yet-to-be-announced titles.

HIRONOBU TAKESHITA
R&D PRODUCTION STUDIO 3

Mr. Takeshita began his career at Capcom in 1992 working in consumer sales. He moved to R&D in 1997 as a producer for Production Studio 3.

He has produced a number of titles for the award-winning Breath of Fire series including, Breath of Fire III, Breath of Fire: Dragon’s Quarter and the Game Boy versions of Breath of Fire and Breath of Fire II. He has also worked on El Dorado’s Gate (Japan only release), Pocket Fighter, Magical Tetris Challenge, Disney’s Magical Quest 2 Starring Mickey and Minnie and Disney’s Aladdin.

He sees the most difficult part of being a producer is finding the balance between making a high quality game and a game that is profitable. While the two can be mutually exclusive, the goal should be to aim for both.

TSUYOSHI TANAKA
R&D PRODUCTION STUDIO 1

Mr. Tanaka is a producer for Production Studio 1 and has been with Capcom since 2001.

Tanaka san’s debut title was the hit, Devil May Cry 2. His current projects include Resident Evil Outbreak and Monster Hunter.

KENJI ITSUNO
R&D PRODUCTION STUDIO 7

Mr. Itsuno began his career at Capcom in 2000 as an assistant producer and is currently working on Monster Hunter.

He has worked on a number of Capcom titles since he joined the company including Hyper Street Fighter Anniversary Edition, One Piece Mansion and Auto Modellista.
Itsuno san has fond childhood memories of playing Street Fighter against his brother who is also an employee at Capcom.

EIICHIRO SASAKI
R&D PRODUCTION STUDIO 1

Mr. Sasaki joined Capcom in 1995 as planner for Star Gladiator. Five years later, he joined the ranks as a producer working on PowerStone 2 and Tech Romancer. He is currently working on Resident Evil Outbreak.

He enjoys eating at gourmet restaurants and is a big fan of the Gundam and Dragon-ball Z toy line. His love for America emerged while spending time in San Francisco setting up the location test for the arcade version of Power Stone.
